We will pick you up between 6:45 and 7:00 am from your hotel, then we will leave Cusco in the direction of the Sacred Valley where we will visit 5 archaeological zones. First, we will arrive at the colonial city of Chinchero. There we will visit a craft workshop, the Chinchero archeological center, and the plaza for 1.5 hours before heading to our second archaeological site. We will visit Maras Moray and Salinas (salt mine) for 2 hours total time on both sites. We will visit the traditional city of Moray to learn about its intriguing indigenous culture. There we will see the mysterious Terrazas de Moray, a unique archaeological site with gigantic natural holes. In Salinas de Maras we will see the salt mines that the Incas used to establish trade to prosper.
At midday, we will go to the Urubamba Valley where you can enjoy an exquisite lunch buffet for 30 min. Afterward of this delicious lunch, you will continue to the Ollantaytambo Fortress to discover its impressive Temple of the Sun. During the Inca civil war, this imposing structure of 12 feet (3.5 m) of stones served as a key defensive barrier. This tour will be approx. 1 hour. Subsequently, we will visit Pisac, an incredible Inca city that constitutes one of the most important archaeological centers in the region. We will visit the beautiful temples, palaces, and well-preserved terraces built on the edge of the precipices that still conserve their straight aqueducts. Finally, after these 5 archaeological sites, we will return to the city of Cusco arriving at 7:30 p.m.
