Our transport will pick you up at 7:00 am from your hotel in Cusco. Then we will start the trip towards the town of Ollantaytambo. Where we will have a brief stop for a period of 15 minutes, to appreciate the area or buy some crafts, snacks or use the W.C. Then the trip continues to Abra Malaga, which is at an altitude of 4,316 meters, and where we will have a short stop to take photos of the impressive snowy Veronica.
After, we will continue our trip to Hidroeléctrica (the last stop), where we will enjoy a delicious lunch. Next of a short break, the hiking starts from the hydroelectric station to the town of Aguas Calientes where our lodge is waiting for us. the hiking takes around 2 hours and 30 minutes. In the afternoon around 6 pm we are going to enjoy a delicious dinner with the group. Finally, you will have free time to explore the town of Aguas Calientes or enjoy the Hot Spring in Aguas Calientes.

On the second day, the group will get up early at 4:00 am, in order to start the hiking to Machu Picchu where the guide will be waiting for you at the entrance, in order to see the beautiful sunrise in the Macchu Picchu ruins. This section of ascent to the citadel will take an approximate of 40 minutes.
After enjoying this magical moment, the guide will give you a guided tour for an approximate of 2 hours, to illuminate you especially of the rich history of the ancient ruins. Then, after the tour, you will have time to explore the citadel by yourself. It is recommended to start the descent to Aguas Calientes at 11:00 am. so you can have time to enjoy your lunch, and then head to Hidroeléctrica, where we will start our return trip by bus until we reach San Francisco Plaza in the city of Cusco. We will arrive in the city of Cusco around 9:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Wonderful experience and excellent service provided by Nixon! Seamless communication prior to and during the trip. Luggage pickup/dropoff was also well arranged (Nixon picked up my suitcase from my hotel and dropped it off at my Airbnb the next day). The debriefing part was really helpful and Nixon made sure I understood everything I needed to do during the trip. The only thing with this particular tour is that the car ride to Machu Picchu is very long (approx. 7 hrs) and I didn’t feel comfortable riding the van on my way back so Nixon helped me book a train back to Cusco. Super agence, prix raisonnable pour les tour du machupicchu en deux jours. Magnifique hôtel, et très bon repas également inclus dans le tour
First of all some generall advise: the two day tour by minivan will be the cheapest trip you will find. The trip is long and not really comftable. But that is because the street is extremly curvy and has nothing to do with Mega Expeditions. So if you want more comfort you might think about taking the train.
The service provided by Mega Expeditions was perfect. They made sure i was well and satisfied all the way. The provided accommodation was very nice and Mega Expeditions ons were very friendly about my special wishes.
For example i stayed an extra night in Aguas Caliente, so that I could visit Santa Teresa the next day. It took me only a few text messages and Mega Expeditions took care of everything
